Wasteland Express is a pick up and deliver game that is so much more. The best description I have heard is that it is Mad Max Fury Road in a box. This is a box with a whole lot of game and a great insert from the people at Game Trayz. This is currently my most wanted game that I hope to have my hands on soon. Everyone that has played it has raved about it and this will be another game that there is a stampede towards the booth at the start of Thursday.

This is Restoration Games first GenCon and they starting it off with three huge titles that will surely make a lot of people's lists. I got to play DownForce at Geekway to the West and loved it. This is a good mix of Formula D and Winning Circle. You will be betting to see who wins the race while also trying to get your cars to be the first past the finish line. Can you accomplish both goals? DownForce also provides some auction mechanics at the start of the game and racers advance by playing cards that will move cars specific amounts of spaces. My hope is that they make more tracks for DownForce in the future.

Custom Heroes is the next in AEG's Big in Japan line of games. Custom Heroes is taking the card crafting system from Mystic Vale and making a trick taking game. I will be curious to see how this will work out, but I loved card crafting from Mystic Vale and that is enough for me to want to check out Custom Heroes. The art looks amazing and I am excited to see this board/card game focus AEG has this year.

Shark Island is a semi-cooperative game that has players taking the role of shark hunters trying to kill the shark. 1 of the players will be playing against the others as that person will be taking on the role of a Great White Shark! That's right, you are Jaws! Your goal is to terrorize the island and not get killed. This just sounds so awesome to play. I have met one of the designers (Pete Shirey) on multiple occasions. He is a great guy and I hope to get to play this with him someday.

Viral is a game about being a virus and infecting the body with max efficiency. You will have to watch out for the other players who are also viruses with the same objectives. Attacking organs hard will cause it to unleash power Anti-viruses that will attack you and the other players. I love the theme on this one and it is under the Dice Tower Essentials line that has been hit after hit for me.

I reviewed By Order of the Queen back when it was on Kickstarter last year and now it is finally here. This is a great family tabletop introduction to Role Playing Games. There is plenty of challenge and difficulty that even the seasoned player will still find enjoyable. This is the second game by Junk Spirit Games and also the second with art from Justin HIllgrove. The art really helps make this game stand out. Be sure to check this out as it is one of my hidden hits of GenCon.

Museum Heist is a bluff and deduction game that has players trying to take the museum's treasures. Each player will be playing as a museum thief trying to steal the best stuff while avoiding the worst security staff ever. I like the theme and Get Rich Quick from FoxMind Games was entertaining so I am looking forward to giving this a try.

Whistle Stop is a tile laying game with economic and pick up deliver mechanics in one game. I saw this at Origins and knew right away that I would want to play it and I have not had a chance yet. I hope to remedy that this week. Bezier Games puts out fun games that make you use your brain. I have always loved their games and so I will keep trying to them out.

Professor Evil has stolen all types of treasures from history and stored them in his Citadel. You and the other players will be sneaking into his home and trying to get these treasures out before time seals the vaults forever. I got to see this at Origins and it looked great on the table. Everyone seemed to be having fun. FunForge has put out some games that I have loved from how their art and gameplay flow together into an entertaining game. This will be one to check out.

I love the Scott Pilgrim comic and movie. When I heard Renegade was working on a Scott Pilgrim game, I knew it was something I would want to own. Renegade has lots of titles to check out at their booth that will be worth your time and money. This pick for me is for how much I like Scott Pilgrim and card games.

If you told me a game called Bunny Kingdom was gonna be on my GenCon hot list, I would have probably laughed at you. Recently I got a chance to see some of the game art and components and wow they look amazing. Iello usually does excellent art, but I loved the pop culture parodies. Combine that with a came that has card drafting and area control mechanics and you have a game that screams play me. Designer Richard Garfield has put out some great hits like King of Tokyo and this could be another surprise hit of the show.
