Expansion for: Legendary Marvel Deck Building Game

Legendary Deadpool introduces a few new concepts, but the biggest change is the amount of player interaction. True to breaking the fourth wall, cards will now ask you to compare yourself to the other players and receive bonuses based on the comparison. For example a card may provide a 1 star bonus for each player you are taller than or 1 strike for each player you are shorter than. (Hench why Wolverine is so strong) Also introduced is half points. These are totaled just like regular fourth grade math. There are 2 new keywords introduced in this expansion. The first is Excessive Violence. Some hero cards will say something like Excessive Violence: Gain a bystander. To gain this effect you will need to play a card with that keyword and defeat a villain with one extra attack more than what is required. For example you can defeat Blind Al and Deuce for 2 attack. If you defeat the villain with 3 attack, all cards activate their Excessive Violence effect. The other keyword is Revenge for "X" (X= name of a clan or villain group). When fighting a villain with this keyword, it gains 1 attack for each card in your victory pile that is from "X". The new keywords are very easy to remember and add to any game of Legendary.

Legendary Deadpool is the most enjoyable small box expansion I have played. Yes I am a huge Deadpool fan and that helps my enjoyment, but it is the overall flavor and interaction that make this a top tier expansion. Playing yes or no games with the other players to draw extra cards and other interactions make waiting for your turn tolerable. The humor of Deadpool is shown throughout the expansion with cards mocking you and some requiring you to drop a deuce. (not the deuce you are thinking, but dropping a card with a 2 anywhere on it) The schemes follow some of Deadpool's greatest story lines like Deadpool kills the Marvel Universe or Deadpool wants a Chimichanga. For those not familiar with Deadpool or his heroes for hire, you may find the characters unknown and not what you would expect. Still I think the humor, interaction, and new keywords will make up for that and much more. If you are a fan of the Legendary game series, then this is an obvious addition to your collection. This may bring some Deadpool fans to the Legendary series, but it will not change the mind of those who dislike the Legendary series. In my opinion I really enjoy the cards and feel this may be the best of the small box expansions.
