Onitama is a two player chess like game that has players taking turns moving a piece to try and capture the master or sit on his throne. What makes Onitama different than Chess or Checkers is how you move your pieces. Each player will have 2 cards that will show available spaces they can move their piece. Once the card is used, it is placed next to the board and the player takes the card that was currently there. During the other player's turn, they will also play a card and move, which results in them taking the card you previously played. You have to think ahead and try to not give your opponent the card that will defeat you. The game's components are awesome and deliver real quality.

Each player will take control of a faction that is about to start exploring space. At first players will each be on their own discovering new worlds and new life, but eventually their paths will cross. Will you try to take over the other faction's zone or will you work out trade and peace with your fellow races. Each planet explored could take you into an episode from the many Star Trek episodes. Each faction plays like their tv show counterpart and upholds the rules they live their life by. A must for any Star Trek fan.

Scythe is a worker placement game with elements of area control, blind bidding combat, and resource gathering. Each player will control a country after World War 1 in a alternate universe. The game delivers awesome art, minis, and mechanics that I find enjoyable and perfectly combined to deliver a great experience. Scythe takes the euro experience and adds a little combat to the mix that I think euro and ameri style gamers will enjoy. Also a expansion was just released that adds to 2 more nations to raise the player count to 7.

Mechs vs. Minions is played over a series of missions, each harder than the previous mission. The game takes place in the League of Legends universe. Players will be in control of a yordle in a mech suit. Rumble has selected you to be his first students in his mech school. Of course evil minions have decided they want to interfere with schooling and you are now set to learn by trial and error. Players will be drafting action cards to add to their command board. Each turn the players will follow the actions on their command board in a wild attempt to complete the mission's goal. Most likely you will be driving into the side of the board a few times before you get the hang of your mech. Outstanding minis and great gameplay make this a great purchase for any board game lover.
