I first got to play Sagrada at Geekway to the West this year. Then I played it again at Geekway to the West and a third and fourth time. Sagrada is a dice drafting game that has players trying to fill in their stained glass window. The colorful dice act as the glass and each player has a very sturdy base to place the dice in. There are rules you must follow for the spaces on your board and in the end you come out with a work of art. Very fun and this is one I need to pick up myself.

Barenpark was my Origins game of the show. This was my favorite pick up at Origins and has continued to be a hit with my group and seen the table regularly. Barenpark is very similar to Patchwork in trying to fit pieces into a grid space. This time you are making a zoo for bears! There are lots of nice elements and the ability to play with more than 2 players has made Barenpark a huge hit for me and replaced Patchwork as my favorite tile laying game.

Santorini is a beautiful strategy game that has players trying to build a 3 story tower with a dome on top. The first to do so is the winner. The struggle to try and prevent your opponent from doing so while working on making sure you accomplish the goal is quite deep. Add in player powers that change up the game each time. This is primarily a two player game but can be played up to 4. Excellent components with a 3-D layout. This has been a hit for a lot of people.

This game is for those hard core, heavy euro gamers out there. Lisboa is the recently released euro game from acclaimed designer Vial Lacerda. If you enjoy games like Vinhos and Gallerist then you will love this one as well.

Flamme Rouge is a bicycle racing game that has players controlling a team of 2 bikers. You will use drafting and teamwork to help move along the course at a fast pace. This is a card driven racing game with course pieces that let you change up the track or try you hand at making your own. This one is on my current review pile and look forward to playing it more soon.

A game about running a pizza place to deliver pizzas in Italy is a fantastic idea for a game. Quined Games brings a nice art style on top of some very strategic and fun gameplay. One warning is that there are stickers to place! Be sure to check out this pizza fun. This is also currently on my review stack for a review to be written soon.

Century Spice Road was a huge hit at Origins this year with people lining up each day to pick it up. I have heard the popularity and weight of the game compared to Splendor. That is in my opinion a compliment to this set collection game about trading along the Spice Road. This is the first in a 3 part Century series. If the theme of trading on the Spice Road does not sound entertaining, they are releasing a Golem themed version at GenCon. I expect both to be huge hits but worry people will be confused by thinking it is two different games.
