I have heard good early reviews from this game. I enjoy a good racing game and this game takes a new approach in racing. I do not know much about it yet, but what I have heard has been very positive.

I have been burned out a little bit on co-op games, but Apollo XIII appears to breathe some fresh air into it by being more story card driven. I always enjoy a good space game and Passport has brought out some very good games, so this is strong on my radar.

The goal of this game is to lead a life of happiness. Who doesn't want to have happiness and fun? Well you have to balance that with work and other life issues. This game plays on that balance and I look forward to playing it. I heard great things about it from it's small, early release at Essen 2015.

This is an empire building game that originally was released in 2003. I never played the original, but heard it had a popular following. The Kickstarter came out in 2015 for a new version that included revised rules, new components and new paths to victory. They seemed to take a lot of ideas from the community to make this game better and I look forward to reaping the benefit of a refined game.

This fantasy, tableau building game was no where on my radar till recently I miss clicked on something on boardgamegeek.com and this game appeared. Valeria sounds like it takes elements from Dice City, Machi Koro, and deck-builders, and mixes in a fantasy theme and adventure. The art looks very colorful and grabbed my attention right away. I will be looking forward to finding out if this is a surprise gem or the dud of the list.

Set in the Manhattan Project universe, Energy Empire explores the rise of energy needs due to industry and the effect that has on the environment. Minion Games has a great track record with their Kickstarters and I expect this one will be run just as great. Energy Empire mixes worker placement with tableau building and dice. I always like seeing new mixes in styles and think this could be a great combo.

The Tiny Epic series has been very good and I have no reason to believe that this wont follow suit. Tiny Epic Western has players fighting over areas in town and gaining influence. All of this to try and become the biggest boss tycoon in the west. This game seems to be really rich in theme and that tends to make me enjoy my game experience that little bit more. The Kickstarter is going on now at the time of writing this and has been funded, so we will be seeing this game soon in it's full glory.

I really do not know much about this game yet, but I know Fantasy Flight (now Asmodee NA) has put out very good games under the Star Wars license. From what I have seen it appears to be a very epic game against two sides, that ranges from ground forces all the way up to epic ship battles. Is this the board game version of Star Wars Battlefront that fans want? I don't know but I really look forward to finding out and the track record has me hopeful.

I got to play in a very early stage at Origins in 2015. The best way I can describe this game is that it reminds me of the senate for the Disgaea games. You and your opponents are trying to influence different kingdoms and their rulers as well as a traveling senate. The game forces you to negotiate with your opponents to get bills passed that give you money or victory points to win. Try to strong arm too much and the rest of table will go against you. I had a blast playing it at Origins and really look forward to it's release this year.

Kevin Wilson is designing this campaign game with legendary TMNT artist Kevin Eastman. That alone has my interest. Throw in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and make it feel like I am playing the comic and you have me sold. While I don't know much of the mechanics yet, I will be keeping a closer eye on it now.

A fast paced dungeon crawler set in the Arcadia universe. There are hopes that characters from Arcadia Quest may be compatible or vice versa. I love Arcadia Quest, and while this is not the game play of the original it does appear to be very fun. I have no reason to doubt Cool Mini or Not after the great year they had in 2015. My wallet will probably cry when it is released on Kickstarter but it is used to be empty by now.

One of the biggest Kickstarters to date, Scythe will be entering development/release with probably the biggest hype of the year. I am a backer and have been following the project, and Jamey is making sure the quality is there. The man is a Kickstarter genius and I have enjoyed his previous games. This economic 4X game may not be what some expect, but early reports is that the game play is solid and really fun. BTW yes mechs make an appearance. Anyone that keeps up with me on Twitter knows that I have been begging designers for mech games. This may not be what I expected when I asked but I will take it.

Very little is known about this game, but what has been said sounds awesome. A 4 player 4x game that has each person taking control of a faction in the Star Trek universe. They have already said that it will be expanded by adding more factions and that with each new faction means more player count. Could this be Star Trek Twilight Imperium? Gale Force Nine has a great track record with licensed content and every Star Trek fan is holding their breath in hopes of a great epic game. I hope to see the Defiant as well as hopefully more of the next gen, deep space nine, voyager era universe.

This may be the biggest risk in terms of a project. Don't get me wrong it has everything going for it and I am really looking forward to it. When it was announced, Chronicles is a series of legacy games that will use the new echo system to extend into each game in the series. So not only will your decisions affect your games in Origins but also may have big affects in the future of the series. I am extremely excited about this series and what could be the most epic world building games ever.

I love Arcadia Quest. I could really make this easy for myself and leave it at that one line, but I will explain why I am excited about this newest addition. Pets will add a Pokemon like factor to the game and the new dragon expansions extend the original campaigns. Add in all the new characters and a completely new campaign book for the original, and we still have not gotten to Inferno. Inferno is a new core set with a completely new campaign and added new mechanics. Cool Mini or Not took one of my top 10 games and gave me a buffet worth of new stuff.

SeaFall has been a project of designer Rob Daviau for a long time. He has been improving his legacy system with games like Risk Legacy, Pandemic Legacy and Chronicles. I think the delays in SeaFall were due to him learning and improving on each of those legacy projects and applying them to SeaFall. Early reports say it is better than Pandemic Legacy and will surpass people's expectations. If it that is possible, SeaFall will be a masterpiece. Rob's games are what got me in the hobby and with that I trust him to produce a great game. Even if it does not live up to the type of hype people put on it, it will still be a fun game and for that we all benefit.
