I only commented on the top 10 games otherwise this would be a book instead of a long list. I hope you enjoy the list and find some great games that maybe you haven't played yet. I look forward to your comments and questions. Congratulations to all the designers and companies who have games on the list. To those not on the list, thank you for the games you put out and this was a very tough year to rank. I rarely had a game this year that I did not enjoy. Without further ramblings, here is my top 25 of 2015 and a surprise honorable mention.
This fan made campaign using the Star Wars X-Wing game system is so much fun. If you are a fan of the x-wing game or like co-op campaigns , you need to give this a look. If this was a commercial release it would have been a contender for number 1.

This is a game that I continue to enjoy playing with larger groups of friends at the end of the night. The idea that you have to work with your neighbors but also try to not give them the win makes this a very deep game. Easy to teach, quick clean up and short gameplay makes this a great game for the end of the night.

Gallerist was one of the two games that I played on New Years weekend that had me changing my list last minute. This was probably the heaviest worker placement game I have played to date. While there is a learning curve to the game, I found that it flowed great and was not too hard to pick up. The art theme fit very well and led to many arguments over what good art is. The way everything flowed in the game showed great detail and made for an enjoyable game.

Dice City happened to be the other game that I played over New Years weekend that made me rework my list. If you have seen my previous lists and read my reviews, you know that I am big fan of Machi Koro, Imperial Settlers and other city builder games. Dice City may replace Machi Koro for me, it is that good. Every turn you are getting resources and trying to upgrade your city or attack other cities. This game does take a lot of table space for the type of game it is. Everyone that played wanted to immediately play another game of it. This game is a good mix of many games I like and does it in a way that works very well. I look forward to the expansion AEG is releasing in 2016 for it.

*Note this was my first written review and you can see how I have improved over the year*
Viceroy at the mid point of the year was close to being my game of the year. While it has went down a few spots, I still really enjoy this game. I like the pyramid building and trying to match up the gems while also trying to work towards the other ways to get victory points. I like how each card had different abilities depending on which level you placed the card. There are many ways to victory and none felt overpowered over the others. The art was very good and the quality of cards is great. I look forward to more plays of Viceroy in 2016.

This was a game with a lot of hype and it really did make for a fun experience. I am only up to May, so this may have been higher if I had been able to play the whole year. What may hurt this game is that after I complete my campaign I do not see myself wanting to play it again. Pandemic Legacy is a very unique experience that I think every gamer needs to experience. i am not a huge fan of Pandemic but still found this very enjoyable. If my comments are vague towards this game, it is because I do not want to spoil anything for anyone. This is a game that you really need to experience for yourself to understand what everyone is talking about. I look forward to legacy type games that come out in 2016.

There may be some who say this was a 2014 game and I debated putting it on the list. I decided to put it on the list because it was not commercially available till this year. Roll for the Galaxy takes a fun classic card game of Race of the Galaxy and simplifies it. I was rolling the dice and trying to figure what my opponents are going to do this round and what i need to do this round. Having the dice rolls play a role in what I decide to do and how to accomplish each task is different and neat. I still enjoy the card version but this has become my preferred version.

Rum & Bones was a game completely off my radar for the year. I heard someone explain that it was a board game based off the MOBA style PC games, and I knew immediately I had to try this game out. If you play League of Legends or DOTA 2, you will be at home with this game. The transition was so smooth and each game is a new challenge. The price point is high and there are a few expansions now that add to that, but if you want that MOBA experience then it is worth the purchase. I am a big fan of games that really let players take advantage of risk/reward type moves and Rum & Bones does that. I have had games where sending in one of my guys to the other boat without backup paid off huge. Cool Mini or Not did a great job at the components and adding a lot of content to the game.

2015 was a great year if you love 2 player games. 7 Wonders Duel was my top two player game of the year. I love 7 Wonders, but I can feel overwhelmed playing it with more than 4 players. 7 Wonders Duel takes the original game's feel and gives us a 2 player masterpiece. 7 Wonders Duel gets rid of card drafting and replaces it with players taking turns choosing cards from a pyramid type layout. This really adds a new level to 7 Wonders not seen before and may even make it stand above the original. All I know is that I love this game and can't wait to play it more.

This game actually sat on my bookcase for quite awhile before I got to play it. I wish I had played it earlier because it has quickly become one of my favorite euro games. The game incorporates many mechanics like area-control, racing, and dice placement that flow extremely well and create a unique experience. The variable powers add flavor and replay value of the game. The mechanics work nicely with the theme of trading and traveling in Marco Polo's time.

Here is what I said about Blood Rage in my recent hit or miss article:
Most people have heard the hype about this game including me. By the time I finally got to play this game I was seeing top ratings and game of the year predictions. Rarely does something live up to that level of hype. Blood Rage in my opinion does so and exceeded my expectations. This is a fun Viking area control game with an element of card drafting. The art and the minis are excellent. This was very easy to learn and had everyone at the table wanting to play another game of it. We of course did and still want to play more to this day. This is one my new favorite games and will remain in my collection. I found that it had a few different strategies for winning and delivers lots of fun in under 2 hours. Highly recommend.
Blood Rage is so much fun and the components were some of the best of the year. I have yet to get bored of this game and after every play I want to play again right away. Rarely in my history of playing games has a game kept me as interested as Blood Rage does. It is for the above reasons and being the whole package, that I give Blood Rage my 2015 Game of the Year. (note: I need to come up with a Taco name for the award)
